World Chocolate Day

It was World Chocolate Day on the 7th of July and in (late) celebration of this day I wanted to share some of my favourite chocolate treats.

Malteasers

Classic malt and chocolate treat that no movie night is complete without. Recently they have branched out and created new buttons and truffles. It is very difficult to beat the original malteasers but I’m happy to give them all a taste. I have yet to get my hands on the truffles but the buttons are good if you prefer more chocolate than crunch.

Flipz Pretzels

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

I have such a soft spot for these. I love when chocolate is paired with something crunchy, as you will be able to see from my list here today. Texture is important to me when I eat and Flipz are delicious. The milk chocolate and the slight saltiness from the pretzels work very well together. The white chocolate fudge are actually my favourite but the milk chocolate ones are easier to find.

Oreo Sandwich bar

I have mentioned this before and I will mention it again. This is a great bar. Chocolate and Oreo’s yes please. This is a brilliant combination and if Oreo and Cadbury’s would just join together to make chocolate covered Oreo’s I would be soo happy.

Easter Eggs

Even though you only get these for a short time of year I have to mention Easter Eggs. Even though it’s a lot of chocolate you just feel like you could eat it continuously. Thin and smooth with that snap, who doesn’t love that after the new year slim downs.

Guylian Chocolate Seashells

A chocolate treat for me is definitely the Guylian seashells. The mix of chocolate and the melt in your mouth praline make these one of my ultimate treats and I only tend to eat them if I get them as a gift as I could never trust myself if I bought them. These little shells are too moreish.

Chocolate comes in so many ways to be enjoyed and it’s something I find very hard to stay away from. I can find any excuse to eat chocolate so please let me know some your favourites. I would love to find out about some new chocolates. What chocolates can’t you stay away from?
